| LEC students come for a lot of different reasons. Money. Independence. A chance to stand out among their peers. Which sounds best to you?
money.
Not only do you get two years of college free, but you begin your career right after high school. That means you'll have at least two more years of income than those going to college after high school and you could be getting a raise while your peers are trying to figure out how to pay for college.
independence.
Life at LEC is different. For one thing, you're studying on a college campus, where you have more freedom (and responsibility). For another, your education everything from what courses you take to what you do on campus outside of the classroom is built around your interests and goals.

standing out.
How many friends in your grade will be spending their days in school on a college campus ... taking advanced courses ... and earning college credit?
LEC gives you a chance to stand out from the crowd, not just in school but in the workplace or at the university admissions office. But you won't have to figure it all out on your own. You'll have plenty of support from faculty members and hundreds of fellow LEC'ers.
what's the catch?
There is none; LEC is just different. How? There are no varsity athletics and you'll spend at least two summers taking elective courses subjects you choose from a long list of college offerings.
Check out our q&a for more. And then think about why LEC may be right for you.
