SUMMER SCHOOL 2009

Notices were included in the report card mailing on Wednesday June 3rd indicating the students who must attend summer school. Please note that summer school will run from Tuesday June 16th through Tuesday June 30th.

If you have any questions regarding your child's registration in summer school please call the LEC main office at 718.7259. If you have specific questions about summer school logistics, call your child's district high school; (LCHS, 776.7541 -- SLHS, 718.2400).

In order to promote a safe school environment for students and staff, Lee County Schools is interested in parents’ opinions on issues related to school safety and security. ADMINISTRATIVE CHANGE

On May 26th, Lee County Schools Superintendent Jeffrey Moss announced administrative changes at Lee Early College and Lee County High School.

Robert Biehl, who currently serves as assistant principal at Lee County High School, has been named the Lee Early College principal. Mark West, the current Lee Early College principal, will replace Biehl as assistant principal at the high school. The change in positions will become effective on July 1.

TIME CHANGE FOR THE 2009-2010 SCHOOL YEAR

Lee Early College will be adjusting the school hours for the 2009-2010 school year. School will run from 8:15am-2:45pm. Please check the website frequently over the next few weeks for more information regarding the time change.

UPCOMING JOB/VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

AVID Tutors Needed

LEC's AVID program needs tutors! Tutors must be available to work with the AVID classes Tuesdays and Thursdays from 1:15-2:30. While volunteers are appreciated, arrangements can be made so tutors are compensated for their time. If you would like to volunteer or just need more information, please contact Mr. Nourse. Thank you.
